Q: Do I need a particular operating system on my computers to run Flowlens?
A: No all you need is a web-enabled browser such as Chrome, Safari or Firefox and an internet connection.
Q: Is Flowlens accessible on mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets?
A: Flowlens is accessible from any device that has a web-enabled browser and an internet connection.
Q: Is there a minimum / maximum number of users / licences for the software?
A: Here at Flowlens we operate an enterprise licence model. This means that if you need a new user we do not ask for an additional licence fee.
Q: What existing systems does Flowlens integrate with? (Will Flowlens work with my existing software?)
A: Flowlens is designed to share data with other business systems, including accounts software such as Sage, Quickbooks and Xero, CAD software and marketing tools. We can help you get the most out of your existing software investments, whilst implementing Flowlens to manage your primary customer, sales, operations and service workflows.
Q: Does Flowlens have a finance module?
A: Flowlens integrates with Sage, Quickbooks and Xero, and other integrations are possible. Many of our customers have invested heavily in implementing existing, best of breed, finance software. We don’t believe it is necessary to waste this investment, and therefore Flowlens allows for data transfer (such as stock, POs, Invoices) between systems.
Q: Are there annual or recurring fees?
A: Yes, as a cloud-based software product there is a reasonable annual hosting and backup fee. An annual software maintenance contract is offered to cover product updates and general support requirements.
Q: How often is the software updated and how will this affect me?
A: Flowlens is updated regularly, and updates to your chosen modules are covered by the annual service and maintenance agreement.
Q: How long does it take to install Flowlens in my business?
A: Installation length is dependent on the number of modules taken and the preparation needed in your business to adopt the new system. We typically recommend implementation of the software on a step by step basis, allowing your team to adapt.
Q: What if I only require one of the modules, e.g. Sales? Do I have to buy the full package?
A: No. As Flowlens is a modular system, you only need to buy the parts that are needed for your business. This means you’re not paying for features you don’t need, but you still have the option to add further features in the future as your needs change.
Q: Where is all the information stored and is it secure?
A: Flowlens is hosted on the Amazon cloud, one of the most robust and secure global hosting platforms. Access to Flowlens is strictly controlled, with individual user accounts for each person, controlling what they can and can’t do on your system.
Q: Why is Flowlens different?
A: Flowlens links your business functions, removing data silos and making information available across departments. It is modern web-based software with a very user-friendly and clutter-free interface. It has been designed with significant industry experience, to support your business processes, reducing unnecessary duplication of data across the stages of selling, production and after-sales service.
